Sunday School

Zion’s Sunday School meets every Sunday during the school year at 10:30 AM following the regular church service.  Sunday School starts at the beginning of September.  It has become a tradition to have a balloon release on the first day of Sunday School.  The younger children seem to especially enjoy this.  So far, there has been no responses to the message placed inside each balloon.

At various times throughout the year, the Sunday School children sing during the regular service as well as special services.  The biggest event of the year is the Sunday School Christmas program which is held on Christmas Eve at 7:30 PM.  Many weeks of practice go into this service. It is extremely well received.

A Sunday School offering is taken each week with the money going towards the purchase of lessons and needed supplies.  The Sunday School has held tailgate dinners, craft/bake sales and soup dinners to raise additional money.  Donations from the congregation are always greatly appreciated which are used to improve the Sunday School.
